Action Tank’s City Council Bootcamp Toolkit is Now Available for Your City or Organization!

Action Tank is pleased to announce the release of the City Council Bootcamp Toolkit. Our City Council Bootcamp (CCB) Toolkit is a licensed guide available to nonprofits, resident groups, or municipalities who want to start CCB in their cities. The Toolkit includes guidance on every aspect of CCB, from fundraising, to recruiting and selecting students, to partnering with artists, to curriculum, lesson plans, workshop activities, homework assignments, and evaluation.

Action Tank's Presents Exploring Extremism: A Conversation with Talia Lavin

Action Tank is excited to launch its Preventing Political Extremism Project on February 22 with a kickoff event featuring a conversation with award winning journalist and author Talia Lavin on the rise of extremism and anti-semitism in America. Joining Talia will be our moderator for the night, Katie Vogel. Although this is a hybrid event (Talia will be appearing virtually and this will also be streamed on zoom), all in-person attendees will have access to a free kosher buffet and free childcare if registered prior to February 1.

Tickets are pay-what-you-can with a suggested donation.

The plan is an innovative tool for heritage-based community change created in partnership with the Cincinnati Preservation Association and others. Recognizing that a sense of place and belonging is essential to healthy communities, this plan provides a resident-driven roadmap to a stronger, more vibrant Cincinnati through the preservation of historic buildings, sites, and neighborhoods. Action Tank Civic Club is our new partnership program with local public-facing small businesses and organizations that want to connect their patrons with local and free civic engagement opportunities and resources. We create clever and sometimes provocative signage for bathroom stall advertising and then directly connect residents to those resources via QR codes. Learn more about Civic Club here.
